Nevis Networks Expands Senior Management Team with Former Juniper Networks Executive

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif. – September 18, 2006 – Nevis Networks, a provider of a new class of comprehensive enterprise LAN security solutions, announced today that Shane Buckley has joined Nevis Networks as the Chief Operating Officer (COO). As COO, Buckley will assume overall responsibility for worldwide customer-facing functions including sales, marketing and customer service. He joins the company as Nevis begins shipment of its LANenforcer 2024 LAN security appliance that provides comprehensive security protection by integrating a suite of security methodologies to stop known and unknown threats before and after a user accesses the LAN. LANenforcer combines – Network Admission Control (NAC), identity-based access control, anomaly (traffic, protocol, behavioral) detection, Intrusion Prevention System (IPS) and microsecond threat quarantine.

“We are thrilled to have Shane join the team,” said Tushar Dave, a Nevis Networks board member with New Path Ventures. “With his extensive background in building worldwide organizations for successful sales and support of enterprise networking solutions, he will make a great addition to Nevis as we expand Nevis’ penetration in the fast-based, dynamic LAN security market.” Before joining Nevis Networks, Buckley was vice president of enterprise at Juniper Networks where he managed the company’s worldwide enterprise sales and marketing strategies. Prior to that, Buckley was the international president for Peribit Networks Inc. (acquired by Juniper in 2005) where he setup direct operations in 18 countries to sell and support customers. He also held the position of CEO of Conduit Software, developing the company’s strategic direction and managing operations.

Earlier in his career Buckley was a vice president at 3Com Corporation where he managed businesses both in Europe and across the Asia Pacific Region. Buckley holds a degree in electronic engineering from the Cork Institute of Technology. “My global experience in developing worldwide customer-focused organizations will help Nevis Networks meet its goals of providing high quality LAN security products and services to enterprise clientele worldwide,” said Shane Buckley. “I believe Nevis leads the market with solutions that solve the complex issues surrounding LAN security and I am delighted to be part of this experienced, growing team.” Nevis will be demonstrating its line of comprehensive wirespeed LAN security solutions at Interop, New York September 18-22, 2006 (booth #843).
